Mr. Lamoureux hails from North Carolina and is a graduate of UNC, Chapel Hill. In 2000, after a notable career writing commercials (Goodby, Silverstein & Partners; TBWA/Chiat Day; BBDO; Deutsch), and a brief stint studying filmmaking at UCLA, Mr. Lamoureux began directing commercials. He was quickly recognized by Creativity magazine as “one to watch,” and the following year was featured in the New Directors Showcase at the Cannes Advertising Festival.
He’s since won an Emmy (PBS promos), made an award-winning short film starring Jon Heder, and has worked with some of the world’s leading ad agencies (Wieden+Kennedy; Mother, London; BBDO; Havas) to create hundreds of memorable commercials, and a few dozen that were very forgettable.
As a photographer, Mr. Lamoureux won an IPA/Lucie Award for his documentary series on Hollywood’s Wild Card Boxing Gym, which led to group shows in Los Angeles and New York. His work has been featured in the international photography magazine ZOOM, cycling magazine Peloton,  as well as the Leica Photography blog.
Lately Mr. Lamoureux has been studying and testing the emerging technologies of virtual production to find new and better ways to add value and narrative purpose to his storytelling. He is represented by John Garvey at CAA.
